GEOMETRICS is a team of experienced architects, interior designers and landscaping specialists, familiar with the latest trends and technology. The emphasis is on quality of workmanship and efficiency and the service is “hands-on”.

Our history:
Laura Dolgner, the director of GEOMETRICS has studied architecture in Germany and originally specialized in interiors.

In 1975 she emmigrated to South Africa together with her architect husband and two small children. She took classes in weaving, pottery, jewelry making, painting on wood (”bauernmalerei”), dressmaking, design in general and business management (at present she studies photography). After a short apprenticeship at a local kitchen manufacturer she started her own design studio under the name of “The Kitchen Agent” in 1989.

Together with husband Wilhelm Dolgner she was involved in various residential developments like “Le Mistral” in Morningside, “Le Chateaux” and “Stratford Estates” in Strathaven and  “Georgian Manor” in Hyde Park, to name a few. Laura designed and organized the installation of kitchens and other interiors for individual clients as well and soon the name of the company became too limiting, therefore in 1994 it was changed to GEOMETRICS.

Ever since GEOMETRICS has designed the interiors of hundreds of private residences, shops, offices, restaurants and hotels and her works have been published in various magazines like “Garden & Home”, “S A Homeowner”, “Built” and others.

After extensive courses in landscaping Laura added garden design, the design of water features, swimming pools and gazebos to her services in 2003 with great success.

Presently the company concentrates on the renovation, restoration and extension of private residences, particularly in the northern suburbs in Johannesburg.
